Big fan. Wasn’t there a cassette release? And are those songs available on a digital format? I miss those songs, I can’t find my copy of that tape.

    Dave Fountain Says:

It is only fitting I, Sir Dave Fountain from the Deptford Fountain should grace the Tulips new guest book. Seeing as how the old one was full of my swearing! All you old sods get in touch, especially Matt and Paul who I have not heard from at all.

Im currently repairing rich peoples lawn mowers in deepest Kent. The other day we had Vic and Bobs mowers in and just after Xmas Paul McCartneys. Thats all true that is.

I have my own band too, called Fudgepacker and you can hear it by clicking the webpage.

    Hola Tulipanes Gordos!

I hope things are going well wherever you are. I am still spending what is left from the fortune I inherited from my rich uncle and trying to find new sources of income. Does anybody want a copy of the never released Fat Tulips album produced by Stock, Aitken a& Waterman and recently re-remixed by Aphex Twins? Offers to my e-mail please!

    Regards,

    Miguel

Hmm my band’s also been likened to the Fat Tulips, that’s why I dropped in here. Are we all just imitating the Tulips? Great songs btw, what I’ve heard of them.

Wow a fat tulips web site!!!
Who would have thought in the days of George W. Bush such a thing would exist!!!! - I would have thought he would have found a way to ban such a site!
I miss those indie pop days of the late 80’s early 90’s when you just couldn’t wait for the next week because there was always something cool being released … I worked at an independent record shop in the US during those days and spent nearly all my paycheck each week on the UK imports that used to arrive on Thurdsay and Friday from the Monday UK release.
I used to pick up all the Sarah and Sunday singles (I wish I had the sense to pick up 2 of everything in retrospect) and alot of Twee and indie stuff - I always have liked The Fat Tulips ever since hearing them on the Waaaaaaah compilation and I still listen to them to this day. That was just a such a magic time for music and I want to thank all the bands that really impacted my life…
